Chupacabras Kill Sheep In Piedras Negras, Mexico – The Fortean

Looks like the favorite scapegoat for livestock deaths is in the news again. A spate of sheep deaths in Mexico is being blamed on Chupacabra activity, although students from the Agricultural College are approaching the situation a bit more objectively. We wonder how they would have reacted had they come upon The Monster of the Everglades, 1901. An enormous reptile, purportedly known among the aboriginal tribes of the area for centuries, managed to perplex and terrorize the surrounding community, eluding identification even in death.
